The Investigation of Performance Properties of the Epoxy/Glass Flake Composite Coating on Steel Pile Pipes

چکیده
Steel pile pipes used for offshore applications and port construction are subject to high levels of corrosion. To protect the top end steel pipe against aggressive corrosion conditions, splash zone is coated with epoxy. For a strength system applications, requirement long term durability coating was specified as C5 (H) Im2 according ISO 12944. The specimens glass flake reinforced epoxy were exposed neutral salt spray (NSS) 1440 hours EN 9227 examined adhesion coatings. results samples which in single 2 layers dry film thickness 600 microns, found be suitable painting operation applied on specify application condition. When examined, it seen that sample layers, met desired requirements.
